Welcome to the Friends of Onaway State Park or FOOSP!! We are a 501c3 non-profit, voluntary Association established to assist the Onaway State Park in obtaining its goals! This is primarily in the areas of park promotion, park interpretation and resource preservation, including, but not limited to recreational, natural, cultural and educational activities.Onaway State Park also manages and oversees Tomahawk Flooding East and West State Forest Campgrounds, Tomahawk Lake State Forest Campground, Shoepac Lake State Forest Campground, The Sinkholes Pathway, Bear Den Lake Boating Access site and The Presque Isle County area of the High Country Pathway.We are a very driven friends group. We would love for all people who enjoy what our park has to offer to become a member. Onaway State Park New Historic Replacement Pavilion Open House

Join us Thursday May 9th from 4-8pm at The 211 Bar and Grill @ 3444 M-211, Onaway, MI 49765.
The Friends of Onaway State Park is hosting an open house to present the New Historic Pavilion Replacement. Members from the Friends of Onaway State Park, and the DNR will be present to showcase this amazing new building. We all know how much the Pavilion at Onaway State Park was a center piece of so many peoples lives and memories. Join the Friends of Onaway State Park in bringing this New Pavilion to life!! Views of the New Pavilion will be available, suggestions will be accepted and donations to be a part of history will be accepted on site. We have waited a long time to be see a piece of this community come back home.
